GOOD FORMS
- found a pizza place on ballard that has amazing happy hour deals including a slice of your choice and an olympia for four dollars and fifty cents. after nine pitchers of olympia are five dollars. yes i know, olympia is gross, but PIZZA AND BEER. AND IT’S CHEAP
- i get to see my bestie shelbe at least once a week which is much better than maybe five days out of the year. plus she works at this awesome mexican joint in our neighborhood and whenever we stop in we always get a free kamakazi and a margarita.
- the tap water is delicious. and FREE.
- i finally found out that the sun does shine, i just have to walk to golden gardens to see it which is fine since it’s right in my neighborhood, although i have yet to find a good spot to have notebook time. today i sat on some steps that may only be used for people to jog up and down so they were weirded out by me and i was definitely weirded out by their huffing and puffing and some of them smelled and i got worried that they were going to drip sweat on me.
- the goodwills! they’re huge and full of so much good stuff. and you can sell things to the buffalo and redlight to make extra cash.
- the library has a great selection of dvds that you can rent and you can have them checked out for two weeks.
- my new state is on the road to becoming the next state where gay marriage will be legalized!
BAD FORMS
- our shower. when we first tried to use it we couldn’t get it to turn off. turns out that all the hardware is original and the knobs were stripped. i still have a difficult time getting it to a decent temperature so every time i get in the shower i get burned or a wobbly, cold shiver lip.
- that you have to pay for parking almost everywhere and be a kind of a decent parallel parker. luckily my plates still say idaho so people just think i’m half human anyway (i probably am)
- the crackheads. my new pal anna-lisa said she got punched in the face by one waiting for a bus downtown making me even more scared of them than i already am and also never, ever wanting to take a bus.
- that there is no equivalent to shop n kart in ashland.
- that i still don’t have a job despite applying to at least one everyday.
